ACEN Annual General Meeting

The 2012 Annual General Meeting will be held at 12.30pm at Deakin University on November 1, 2012 during the ACEN National Conference.

Business for the Annual General Meeting

Members wishing to raise business at the AGM on November 1 should provide details to the Secretary via admin@acen.edu.au by October 8, 2012.

Nominations

Nominations are called for four National Executive members and five State Chairs.

A National Executive governs ACEN and its members are elected for a two-year term.

State chapters elect state chairs.

Election of members to the National Executive

The following positions become vacant at the AGM and ACEN seeks nominations from members for

  • Four General members of the National Executive (will serve for two years)

  • State Chairs from Queensland, NSW/ACT, Vic/Tas, SA/NT, WA (will serve for two years).

Thinking of nominating?

Before nominating you should see the information describing the roles and responsibilities, portfolios and meeting matters.

You must be a member of ACEN.

ACEN has an Association Liability Insurance ($2 million) and Public/Products Liability ($20 million) insurance.

Our Constitution is available.

Who’s a member? Who can nominate? Who can vote?

If you are a staff member of a financial institution you are eligible to nominate and vote (see the list). You must register as a member of ACEN.

You will also be eligible to vote if you have joined and paid the membership fee as an individual.

Nomination and voting for the National Executive is open to all members.

Nomination and voting for State Chairs is open to those members based in that state.

Election of ACEN Executive General members

Four positions for General members of the National Executive become vacant at the AGM.

A completed nomination form must be received by Don MacDowall, ACEN Administration at admin@acen.edu.au by 5.00 pm AEDT on Monday, October 8, 2012.

Nomination forms can be downloaded from the ACEN website (Governance).

If an election for a National Executive position is required it will be held at the AGM, Thursday, November 1, 2012

Election of State Chairs

ACEN has state-based chapters, which elect a chairperson who serves as the state representative on the National Executive for two years.

A completed nomination form must be received by Don MacDowall, ACEN Administration at admin@acen.edu.au by 5.00 pm AEDT Monday, October 8, 2012.

Nomination forms can be downloaded from the ACEN website (Governance).

If an election for a State Chair is required it will be held by email in the week beginning Monday, October 15, 2012   Don MacDowall ACEN Administration September 27, 2012
